Tina and Kartik

We have a beautiful Boston wedding to share with you! Let’s kick off with a wedding event that the couple put a lot of thought into – their Sangeet at the Willowdale Estate in Massachusetts. It combines my favorite elements of a traditional Sangeet with unique and colorful modern touches. The results will make your mouth water!

From the bride: “During the Sangeet, we tried to honor both our families and cultures. The food was served in stations, and was either typical South Indian Food, which is the food from the area in India that Kartik’s family is from, or they had typical Mumbai street food, which is the area where my family is from in India. Also, we decorated the estate with wedding pictures from our respective grandparents and parents.”

There is something magical that happens when a professional photographer is given a gorgeous couple and natural light. When scheduling your portrait session, you should of course consider the logistics of your wedding day events and locations. But consider also speaking with your photographer about the optimal time of day for an outdoor shoot like this one.

Tina and Kartik chose to have their Hindu wedding ceremony in a beautiful public garden outside of Boston.

Tina and Kartik’s love for each other was captured so effortlessly by Justin and Mary in their wedding portraits. All you have to do is look at the pictures below to know how these two felt on their wedding day.

While the Sangeet and ceremony were festive and colorful, the reception was black-tie chic. A simple color palette with lots of white, plenty of orchids and a bride in red.

From the bride: “All of our vendors were amazing! Our ceremony event designer, Nina Ramani of Mandaps Etc., was wonderful, professional and had great ideas. Yvette from Charlotte Design did our flowers at the reception and fully got the look we were going for, affordably. Caitlin Doran-Serafino did my make up at all events – SHE IS AMAZING. The Intercontinental staff that we worked with was amazing, Paul Melino was so on top of things and the food at the reception was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten! The people at the Willowdale Estate were also great.
Last, but certainly not least, were the amazing duo,
Justin and Mary, who were our talented photographers. Not only are their photos breathtaking, but the way in which they embraced our culture shines in every picture they took. Their genuine curiosity in our traditions and families was remarkable and we feel truly blessed to have had them be a part of our special day!”
