Real South Asian Missouri Wedding: Fariha & Sarosh (2)

I love when I hear about wedding planners coming up with a unique theme for an event that will guarantee that the couple’s wedding will be remembered as THE Wedding of the Year. Drish, of Drish Couture Events, did just that when she came up with the idea of bringing van Gogh’s painting, Starry Night, to life through Fariha and Sarosh’s wedding reception. (If you missed their sensational peacock themed Mehndi party, click here).

The Hyatt Regency was transformed with a vinyl dance floor that was custom created with a modified version of the painting. But what I really fell in love with was the stage! A custom candle wall was built by Heffernan Morgan Designs to serve as the backdrop for this beautiful couple. Modern furniture was used on the stage to complement the overall design.

This is a great example of how an ordinary hotel ballroom can be completely transformed into any unique idea you may come up with.

Love this fun picture of the newlyweds captured by Amna Siddiqui

Back a little later today with more decor details from this South Asian wedding reception, including the couple’s beautiful cake and centerpieces!
