It's hard to believe that Kavita and Tejas only took six months to plan their incredible
Hawaiian wedding. I know that I would have also chosen to get married in my birth place and home town if it was as fabulous as
Hawaii. For Kavita (who is from Los Angeles), it worked out perfectly. Her parents were still living in Hawaii and with the support of her mother, close friends and a wedding planner (
Mira Savara), she was able to create her dream wedding. Our friend and Featured Vendor, the talented
Jihan Abdalla, was able to capture these gorgeous moments and bring back some photographs for us to share.
Kavita's parents hosted the Mehndi function that kick started the weekend. Imagine: the gorgeous Ko'olau mountain range as your backdrop and a beautifully decorated backyard adorned with color, with the help of
Mira Savara Events. Kavita's mehndi design is awesome! I'm loving the peacocks and flowers that were drawn skillfully all over her hands. The Sangeet was the following day and it was equally a fabulous event that consisted of singing, dancing and various performances from family and guests.
