Fariha and Sarosh

Peacocks are making a huge comeback as a bridal theme across all types of weddings right now. Couple the trend with a glamorous South Asian wedding and you know it’s going to lead to beautiful results!

Fariha and Sarosh threw a grand Mehndi party at the Hyatt Regency in Missouri and chose a team of wedding professionals, including talented photographer Amna Siddiqui, who came together to create a breathtaking event.

A five foot tall peacock was constructed for the Mehndi and displayed on stage, along with custom drapery in the peacock colors with uplighting throughout the room. The centerpieces were also accented with peacock feathers by Heffernan Morgan Designs.

Drish, of Drish Couture Events came up with the idea of bringing Van Gogh’s painting, Starry Night, to life through Fariha and Sarosh’s wedding reception.

The Hyatt Regency was transformed with a vinyl dance floor that was custom created with a modified version of the painting. But what we really fell in love with was the stage! A custom candle wall was built by Heffernan Morgan Designs to serve as the backdrop for this beautiful couple. Modern furniture was used on the stage to complement the overall design.

If you’re wondering about the bride’s swarovski crystal covered reception attire, we have the details. Fariha’s navy and silver colored lehnga was custom created by HSY Studio, one of the largest design houses in Pakistan. The groom’s attire was also custom created to match the bride’s.

The entire venue was decorated with various forms of candlelight. The floral centerpieces were designed in neutral colors with hanging blooms created to look as if they were floating in air. The tables were covered in blue and silver linens by Specialty Linens in Chicago and surrounded by chiavari chairs by Modern Event Rental. The decor all came together to bring van Gogh’s Starry Night painting to life. And don’t miss all the little details that made this reception all about Fariha and Sarosh!
