Bhavi and Ashish created a unique Save the Date for their September wedding in New York. This STD was created on MagnetStreet.com and they have a great range of other Indian ideas as well!
We’re loving the ways the bride combined traditional and Western elements. From the bride:
“For the wedding ceremony, I really wanted a traditional Gujarati wedding, but wanted to balance the grandeur of it with simple and unique details. In sticking to traditions, I had the dots above my forehead drawn with liquid bindi like my mother did before me. Our horse didn’t come in time for the ceremony, so Ashish was lifted on his relatives and friends’ shoulders the whole way of the baraat. The walk down the aisle was the most emotional for me. I had all my bridesmaids walk down first, and my uncle and my brother walked me down, along with all of my male cousins, as they gave their sister away.”
Binaryflips Photography hit this one out of the ballpark. We are loving the inclusion of a Rolls Royce in the couple’s wedding portraits, and especially impressed that Bhavi wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty for a great shot!
Usually when you see a bride select matching outfits for her bridesmaids, they are the same color and tend to be rather simple. Bhavi took the opposite approach. Everything about her bridesmaids screamed G L A M!
From the bride: “I wanted to be surrounded by color and opted to have a western trend of bridesmaids. They all wore the same design chaniya choli but different colors so that each girl felt unique, while Ashish and I wore the traditional red and white.”
For those of you debating a lighting package, this reception will give you your answer. The ballroom is completely transformed with soft lights and patterns used on the walls and the ceiling, complemented by warm candlelight on the tables.
