Jeena and Brian

Jeena and Brian, along with their coordinators at Amazáe Special Events, created a stylish wedding that fused their Indian and Korean backgrounds. The Hindu ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard at Casa Real overlooking the Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, California. The couple chose to have the ceremony around sunset to capture the beauty of their surroundings.

Brian and Jeena decided to forgo the traditional Indian wedding baraat because they wanted to capture the romantic setting of the winery. Instead, their siblings led the processional and Jeena was escorted down the aisle by her father.

For those of you who can not, or choose not to, have an elaborate fire set up in your mandap, Jeena and Brian came up with an alternative idea that can be used anywhere, indoors or outdoors.

Jeena changed into a white wedding dress for the reception and Leah captured some beautiful shots of her getting ready! Jeena had her best friends and sisters dress in different jewel toned dresses to complement the many colors of their wedding reception.

Brian looks like a complete natural in his sherwani and mojaris and could easily be mistaken for an Indian groom! We asked Jeena to share some of her bridal wisdom and here’s what she had to say:

“The two best decisions I made were getting a great wedding planner and amazing photographer. They helped me put the creative elements together and capture the magical moments from our wedding day.”

There are so many delectable details in this wedding reception that will make your head spin: the peacock feathers surrounding the cake, the floral elephant, the dozens of gorgeous flower arrangements, the candles wrapped in sari fabric and so much more! We love when photographers capture every little detail you worked so hard to plan, and Leah from Photography by Leah did not disappoint! Enjoy all of the lovely elements in this gorgeous fusion of Korean and Indian cultures.
