I just love a good Bollywood celebrity wedding! Bollywood actors have usually been involved in a number of Indian wedding scenes in their movies so it’s always a treat to see how they handle their own big day. Today we’re showcasing the wedding of Bollywood heartthrob, Vivek Oberoi (better known as Aishwarya’s ex) and daughter-of-a-politician, Priyanka Alva.

The gorgeous couple were married in Bangalore last week. Their bridal wear was designed by leading Indian designer, Tarun Tahiliani, who was also the man behind Shilpa Shetty’s bridal trousseau.

I completely believe a man should shine on his wedding day, just like his bride, but I don’t think I’m a fan of the groom’s sherwani being just as elaborate as the bride’s lehnga! Vivek looks like he just stepped out of a movie studio filming a wedding scene for his latest Bollywood hit!

Here’s a fun fact. Vivek and Priyanka were actually introduced by family and are said to have had an arranged marriage. Their wedding card was shaped like a jewelry box and had two sections – one for chocolates and the other holding the invitations for the many functions.

Vivek and Priyanka held a wedding reception at a five star hotel in Mumbai over the weekend that was attended by both Bollywood celebrities and prominent politicians. The couple went velvet for their reception attire, with Vivek wearing black and Priyanka choosing blue and green. Still not crazy about Vivek’s attire choice, but I am loving everything about the Priyanka’s bridal look – from the lehnga, to the jewelry to the hair and makeup!
