Now this one is for the bride who is unabashedly girly and proud to be so. Floral wedding shoes, you gasp? Oh, yes, of course, she gushes! For a lot of brides, ethnic wedding dresses are the epitome of “making an effort”. With all the bridal finery, jewelry, makeup and hair taking up so much thought and effort, footwear often gets sidelined up until the very last moment. And then, anything that half matches is worn.
But the uber-feminine, super-excitable bride will think about her footwear too. After all, a dress is incomplete without perfectly complementary shoes! But floral-patterned shoes? Wouldn’t the combination of the embellished dress and floral shoes be a little too much? Not if they’re styled right. Go in for a pair of floral-patterned pumps with a neutral base such as beige or black if your dress is bright and heavy. If your dress is light and simple, go bold with the shoes – bright floral patterns on striking base colours would look good.
