Choodas have a deep traditional significance for Indian brides. These bright bangles have been worn for centuries by women as a mark of their married status. Donned especially by new Indian brides, choodas become the mark of a newly wed woman, apart from the other elements that she incorporates into her everyday life.
And now, while everything about weddings have been upcycled and refurbished in new forms, why should this elegant accessory be left behind? Indeed, Indian brides these days have transformed the basic chooda design from it's humble roots to a dynamic new accessory that they sport for months after their wedding- to offices, parties, and even on their honeymoons! So if you’re looking for a design that’s dynamic and elegant, check out these latest chooda trends and designs that are going to sweep you off your feet!

1. Choodas in Different Colours Are So In!
Choodas needn’t be the usual old boring red, just like lehengas and sarees have metamorphosed from their original forms into fantastic new designs. These days, choodas in yellow, baby pink, and even lilac have taken the world of newly married women by storm! If you want to be a bit more edgy, just opt for a really unusual colour- but make sure you can pull it off with different kinds of outfits!

2. Mix It Up!
Mix up the regular red choodas by throwing in a mix of accessories. For example, it would be quite unlikely to see a chooda with golden bangles in between, right? Except that the combination is explosive and you will absolutely love it! You could also match them with traditional polki or kundan sets!

3. Design-er It!
Now, we aren’t saying you should spend a bomb on your simple choodas, but you could perhaps consider opting for choodas that have a different edge to them. Perhaps an intricately designed set with swarovski is your poison?
