Fusion Hindu and Muslim Wedding Ceremony

When planning your big South Asian wedding, most brides will spend the least amount of time on the actual ceremony because it’s something that doesn’t require much customization. Fusion couples, on the other hand, spend the majority of their time customizing this aspect of their wedding to reflect their different backgrounds. So how do you combine Muslim and Hindu religions? Abhishek and Tasneem show us how, with tons of inspiration for all of you!

From the photographer, Matei Horvath Photography: “Abhi and Tasneem's intimate outdoor ceremony was a beautiful blend of both of their faiths. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend with family members reading Muslim and Hindu benedictions. Due to the unusual weather, the Japanese Garden was in full bloom (usually only a few plants bloom at a time to create a year round garden) and needed little decoration. The ceremony's natural setting complimented the wedding colors perfectly.”

The distinct fusion ceremony this couple created speaks volumes of the understanding and respect they have for each others’ cultures. Combined with the always stunning photography from Matei Horvath, you can see why we’re in love with this wedding!

Not only did the couple seamlessly combine religious traditions, but they also found ways to combine their South Asian and American cultures. Proof of this is the first kiss behind a fan that has us smiling from ear to ear!
